Families, engaged couples, kids, parents, expecting mothers, newborn babies, graduates, a group of friends, business executives ... everyone needs their picture taken at some point!  John Goldstein Photography is here to help.

We take pride in providing high quality portraiture, with an exacting attention to detail and superior customer service.  Our sessions book quickly, so please book early to reserve your time! 

Here is how we work:

• Before the photo shoot we will contact you to talk about the type of portraits you want (formal, natural, candid, close-up, etc) and discuss location options. 

• Here is how we recommend you dress for the shoot:

  • Everyone should dress in a similar style

  • Clothing should not blend in with the background (for example, don't wear black if the backdrop is going to be black).

  • Wear solid colours if possible, and try to avoid logos or strong patterns

• You have 2 options for the location of the photo shoot:

  • 1) We will come to your home or office with our equipment (camera and lenses, lighting, backdrops), or

  • 2) We work with you in the great outdoors.  Some families, for instance, prefer to have their family photo taken in a park on the grass.

• Pricing will depend on the location of the photo shoot and the distance from the GTA.  Our typical prices are below, and include the photographer's time and skill, post-processing, proofing, and online gallery creation:
  • Outdoor Location / Up To 2 Hours of Session Time  --  $400 (+ tax)
  • Indoor Location / Up To 2 Hours of Session Time  --  $500 (+ tax)

  • Contact us for a quote outside the GTA

• Payment is by cash or cheque.  $50 is due upon booking, and the remainder is to be paid at the beginning of the photo shoot.

• You will receive 20-30 proofs in an online gallery, approximately 2 weeks from the photo shoot.  This will give the photographer enough time for post-processing, proofing, and gallery creation.  You will also receive a CD with all your images (in high-res Tiff or Jpeg), for you to print at home.

• We offer 2 output options, for your convenience:
  • We can also produce a DVD slide show, for use on both your TV and computer.  Cost is $75.

  • We can produce professional quality prints for you.  Prices are listed below.  Please allow one week for print production.
