Better Photography Classes

The next set of lessons start on Sunday September 19th!

•  Do you want to get a look at software like Photoshop and Lightroom?

This class is made for you!

I offer a series of "Better Photography" classes in my studio in Mississauga, Ontario.  The classes will be small (3-6 people max) and will help you get the most out of your camera and software.

The next set of lessons start on Sunday September 19th!

In each session we will be spending the first part of the class learning about cameras, photographic technique, software, and more.  Handouts will be provided at each session.

The second part of each class will take place behind the camera.  We'll have fun by putting into practice what we've discussed and reviewing the results.  Weather permitting we will be shooting outdoors, and we will also take advantage of my studio setting to shoot with professional photography equipment and lighting.

The classes cost $75 (plus tax) per session (cash or cheque only), and there will be 5 sessions offered, covering a number of topics and providing many tips & tricks.  The classes' titles are:

1. Basics 1 - Lenses, The Exposure Triangle, and Aperture
2. Basics 2 - Shutter Speed and ISO
3. Advanced Camera Settings, Megapixels, File Types, and Shooting Tips
4. Composition & Creativity
5. Introduction to Lighting & Software

Classes will take place in my studio (401 & Dixie area -- click here for a map) on Sunday afternoons at 1pm.

Note: 

• Payment for each sessions is by cash, cheque, or PayPal. 

• I require a minimum of 3 people per class.  If the minimum is not met then the class will be moved to a later date.

• You need to have a camera that has the ability to switch out of Auto mode to Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, and Manual mode.

• When you sign up for the lesson, let me know the following:

  •  The make & model of camera you will be bringing

  •  Do you have photo-editing software?  If so, what program?

  •  Do you have a laptop computer with the software on it?

• If you have more than one lens for your camera, bring them all!

• Bring warm clothes in case we venture outdoor to practice shooting.
