Panama is a spectacular country with a rich history and lots to see & do. The people are warm & friendly, the landscape is beautiful, and it is relatively inexpensive (especially outside of Panama City) as it hasn't been overrun with tourists yet. The country is small (you can drive across it in less than a day), but the land is varied. This is a place where you can start your day high in the mountains, be in a rainforest by noon, and end your day on a stunning beach.
